He's right though, migrating to XHTML 2 looks like it's going to be damned near impossible. I'll probably still adopt it though, I clearly enjoy the pain.

I won't settle for less.
Even my latest theme for the journaling script that a friend and I are writing was written to be XHTML 1.1 compliant.

I'm not really satisfied with anything before XHTML 1.1, honestly, considering how annoying I find the resulting code to be. HTML 4.01 is just a mess, in my eyes... and woe betide the GeoCities babies... *dies*
